Here's my belated Article of the Day. MSN Money - A latte today or $1 million tomorrow is a truly depressing (for those of us who are latte a holics) look at what it might look like if I kicked my latte habit and invested the money I would have spent. I am going to make a conscious effort to make more of my lattes at home from now on. I actually have the Starbucks Barista machine for home use, so it's just a matter of making sure I have nonfat milk and water in the house. I should start reporting on how well I do with this little endeavor, too. Hmmm...not exactly fascinating stuff really, is it?
Wednesday morning, from Annapolis, Maryland. Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted since Friday morning! The weekend really got away from me and this is what happens when you're sick and overwhelmed with having to get ready for a big business trip. Bleah.
Anyway, I'm here in Maryland for work until Friday morning. I'm going to do my darndest to get my workouts done while I'm here and to watch what I eat for breakfast and lunch, but dinners are probably going to be "off program". We'll see what that does to my weigh in on Monday. Best news of all, though, is that C is flying to Washington on Friday afternoon and I'll be there to pick him up for a weekend in the Capitol City!!! This time we're staying in a hotel right in the heart of the city instead of Georgetown. I love Georgetown, but I think C is more of a downtown kind of guy. He couldn't find anything to eat on the multi page room service menu at our last hotel because it was all "foofy" -- my word, not his. I think there will be enough fast food places around our hotel this weekend that he ought to be fine.
This morning's meeting is "business casual", but definitely not the kind of casual we serve up at VLSCI San Diego. I've got some creme and taupe checked trousers and a baby pink twinset plus the requisite pumps and I'll have to full hair and makeup. Bleah! Tomorrow, I've got to do full business, so it's the other two pieces of my suit (mid thigh length, two button jacket and knee length skirt -- in the same pattern as today's trousers) with stockings (I'm amazed I still have any) and the same pumps. Double bleah! Pray for me, folks.
No news story of the day for today, but I'll steal the one I was going to use for Friday and post it as soon as I'm done with this one.
