Monday, Monday

Monday afternoon/early evening. This time next week, he'll be on a plane bound for Tokyo and I'll be on a train from L.A. to Oceanside. But, armed with my new haircut, I'm going to be just fine. Yes, it's going to be the toughest thing I've done but I knew it was coming when I signed on for life, so there's no point in moaning about it. (Yes, lots of tears will fall.)

So, I thought to myself..."Self, whatever shall we do with ourself while Mick's gone?" Then I picked up Walk Away the Pounds, which I first bought back in 2005 when Mick was still TCB and I was 30 pounds lighter. It's all about taking six weeks to concentrate on building the habit of getting some walking in six days a week. Not walking a marathon. Not running. Just walking. I know I can commit to what she talks about and that it won't hurt, either. I've got scads of her workout videos as well as several walking routes around the neighborhood, so why not? I'm not going to mess with my eating or even think of it as "exercise"...it's just a way to pass some time and (with any luck at all) feel better. We've heard this before, though, so let's not get too excited, right?

Right.

What a great idea! I've contemplated buying that dvd. My favorite workout video is the Kathy Ireland 12 minute abs, 12 minute butt, & 12 minute thigh workout. Not that I've used it lately... but it is my fave when I do decide to exercise!
You have nothing to lose except, maybe weight but it doesn't even matter..you'll enjoy the outing in fresh air.
