And now for something completely different...

Thursday afternoon. I just found out that CNN is working with Fisher House to turn unused frequent flier miles into free airline tickets for military men and women who are undergoing treatment at a military or VA medical center incident to their service in Iraq or Afghanistan, and their families. This program functions every day of the year and then, just for Memorial Day weekend, they've partnered with major airlines so that the airlines will match those miles, effectively doubling your contribution. If you've got unused frequent flier miles lying around collecting dust, please click on the graphic above to find out more about this excellent program.

On the home front, it's another productive day here at VLSCI. My first meeting was at 8:00 a.m. and my last is scheduled from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. but at least I have some time in between to get a few big ticket items off of my "to-do" list. Mick informed me this morning (only after I asked, mind you) that he won't be able to get the mirror or storage cabinet installed in the downstairs (master) bathroom before he leaves. Great, so I have no mirror in my bathroom AND I have patching compound all over the exposed wall. There will be so much for me to get done when I get home from our adventure this weekend...I have to get my sanity/home back!

Hi Denise, I just donated some miles. I only had 3000 in my account, but every little bit, right? :)
Here's hoping you enjoy the adventure without worrying about the to-do list!!
