Sunshiny day

Monday afternoon. OK, I just made such a bonehead move. I'm a project manager at a high tech company and am supposed to know my head from a hole in the ground, yet I just sent a private message to everyone on a virtual meeting instead of the one person I intended it for. Oops - is my face red!

Yesterday was so incredibly lazy for me. Oh, I did get several loads of laundry done and I got to the dry cleaners and WalMart, but I didn't do any of the reading/studying that I should have done for my class on Wednesday. Worse, because I haven't done the reading, I can't do the 5-7 page paper that's due on Wednesday, either. Yikes! My Junior League placement advisor cancelled our scheduled meeting for tonight, so I'm still hoping this can work out. Procrastination is such a bad, bad thing!

I'm feeling a little disheartened with my CASA responsibilities. It's nothing that Alcott's done, it's just about me, my strengths and weaknesses, and whether or not this is really something I'm cut out for. I can't go into the details (it's the confidentiality thing), but I'm starting to think that I'm too involved emotionally and that, given my emotional makeup, it might not be something that will change. I'm going to talk with my supervisor today and see what she thinks about where my head is right now.

At least it's a pretty day out!

Emails/instant messengers can cause can be dangerious--since they can easily be accidentally sent to the wrong person/people! I've heard many horror stories (including one from my former boss) about emails they accidently sent to the wrong person! I've learned from them and now I always try to double/triple check the "to:" line before I hit "send"!

You've done a great service to Alcott and I know you love doing it. I hope you after you talk with your supervisor, you decide to keep with the program.

D - is the Brady Bunch reference in the title a happy accident? Or are you a total super star? (Can you dig the sunshine?) xoxo Mia
